MEDITERRANEAN STARS

The 6th Mediterranean Tourism Forum will be held on 15th February at the Intercontinental, Malta.

The chosen theme this time is the Mediterranean; Sustainable Tourism Action for Renewal Strategies (STARS)  Over 1000 people with an interest in Mediterranean Tourism are expected to attend from over 36 countries with the aim to discuss avenues for promoting sustainable tourism. International, seasoned speakers will get together to share their experience and knowledge with participants and accordingly inspire them to undertake sustainable tourism projects and initiatives.

FORUM

The Forum, including the now expected entertainment touches, promising to be the best international Tourism conference of the year!

In the afternoon will mainly involve Master Classes about the Mediterranean.

In the evening we will host the Mediterranean Tourism Gala Awards. The event is held under the Patronage of the President of Malta HE Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca and is supported by the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) and the Government of Malta. The Mediterranean Tourism Foundation is an Affiliate Member of the UNWTO.

Tourism services have traditionally been provided by businesses such as hotels, taxis or tour operators. Recently, a growing number of individuals are proposing to share temporarily with tourists what they own (for example their house or car) or what they do (for example meals or excursions).
